How We Use AI
AI is often misunderstood, with some perceiving it as a replacement for human creativity or as a shortcut for content creation. For us, this couldn’t be further from the truth. We use AI intentionally and purposefully to augment our work. Its most significant impact lies in the creation of token art. With over 1,000 tokens in our library—and more generated for each new NPC and creature—producing this volume of high-quality, visually striking tokens by hand would be unfeasible. AI allows us to meet this demand while maintaining the artistic standards our players expect. Each token begins with a carefully crafted prompt designed to capture the specific look and feel of the character or creature it represents. These tokens are then chosen, refined, and polished using additional digital art tools to ensure they align with the theme and tone of our adventures. AI enables us to maintain creative control while scaling our production to meet the needs of our growing audience.
What We Craft by Hand
While AI helps with volume and efficiency, it is by no means a substitute for the human touch. Our scene design and digital battle-map painting are created entirely by hand, leveraging decades of experience in art and storytelling. Similarly, every adventure we develop is crafted with care, shaped by 40 years of playing and running tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs). We pride ourselves on weaving rich narratives, creating intricate settings, and building encounters that challenge and delight players. These elements are the heart and soul of our modules, and they are lovingly built from the ground up, reflecting the expertise and passion of our team.
