Over time, I’ve written a few small utilities to help with the never-ending task of building our adventures. Some of them are simple but incredibly handy — like a little tool that lets us drag-and-drop PNG files to quickly convert them to WebP format, perfect for keeping image sizes down in Foundry. Others are more ambitious.
One of my favourites is FolderFolio — a dedicated image finder designed to handle the vast Forgotten Adventures library. With over 140,000 assets to search through, just “browsing” quickly became impossible. FolderFolio makes it easy to sift through the entire collection, preview assets, and grab what I need for a map, journal, or token — without spending half the session digging through folders.
These little tools may not be flashy, but they’ve made the creative process smoother and more fun. And really, anything that helps get players into the world faster is a win.
